Generally - Days - hot; nights - cool. Good chance of fog on coast in mornings.

Weather sites will give more detail for each place. try wunderground.com or timeanddate.com

Hi

Luderitz will be cold, similar to the weather in Cape Town. Swakopmund will also be cold, misty and damp, although you can be lucky and have some sunny days. At this time of the year there can also be sandstorms. A sandstorm can last for a couple of days and the weather will be warm and very dusty with sand blowing everywhere.

Windhoek can be cold, especially at night it can be freezing. The days will be warm though. Northern Namibia is quite a bit warmer especially during the day, but it can still get cold at night.

One thing that surprised me was the RANGE of temperature. Often going from zero at dawn to 35 and back again in about 13 hours.

Again, this is a generalisation. Much of Namibia is on a plateau, so cooler than might be expected. The sea is cold and so the coast is cool too, but just a few miles inland can be searingly hot.

Bring light, cool clothes and a fleece for the colder hours.

I spent 2 weeks camping in Damaraland last Aug.

Nights were still cool but bearable.Days were getting to 27-30 degrees.

But July nights will be cold.

The best advice we can give you is to pack for two seasons.Shorts and light polo tops for day, and layers or a fleece for evenings.Especially if you want to sit around the braie into the evenings...which is such a part of the experience.

This upcoming revisit, we will be better prepared for the evening cold for that time of year.

We struck rain in early Aug in the south , from the SA border right up to Ais.Unusual though.
