Swimming pools in August

Hey all,

Just a general question : will a swimming pool be an added bonus for our roundtrip in August next year ? Are will they be too cold anyhow for swimming ?

Thanks in advance,

In August you are looking at average temperatures of 20-25 degrees, sometimes a bit hotter. At the coast it is much colder, so it is not really essential to have a pool to cool off in during the heat of the day etc

I often see people swimming in August so I wouldn't say the swimming pools are too cold, but that comes down to the individual really. If you are travelling with children then a swimming pool can be a bonus, otherwise it wouldn't affect my choice of lodge/campsite.

Pool temperatures in August are a little too cold for swimming. E.g. swimming in Okaukuejo in early June is already on the edge of being comfortable.
