We have a trip planned for 29 March 2014 to 6 April 2014 (or to 12 April 2014 for those who wish to stay longer). It commences from Kuruman in the Northern Cape (South Africa), then along the border with Botswana to the Kgalagadi Trans-frontier Park, on through the south east portion of Namibia to Windhoek and via the Khomas Hochland to Swakopmund. For those who wish to stay an additional week we will travel to Outjo, the Etosha Pans and on to the Epupa Falls. Accommodation during the first week would be in lodges (inexpensive) although those wishing to camp would be welcome to do so as the lodges also cater for camping. Each participant would be responsible for his / her own costs. We hope to have a convoy of say 4 vehicles with 2 to 4 people per vehicle. A vehicle with high ground clearance is recommended (preferably 4-wheel drive) but not essential due to alternative routes on each of the days. It is a tried and tested route which we have travelled on 4 occasions so far and is designed to maximise the adventure and enjoyment of driving through Namibia on roads less travelled without putting you and your vehicle at risk. We have plenty photos and trip reports from our previous journeys on this and similar routes through Namibia. The entire journey could be easily integrated with other trips through South(ern) Africa. Anyone interested?
