I just landed in Nairobi. I step into a hotel restaurant and order the steak Tournedos and while the meat was average it was still much better than i have had in ANY restaurant in Uganda. The meat was tender, tasty, cooked to medium as I asked , with a bernaise sauce that actually could match the best steakhouse in HongKong and then i wonder. Why cant i get a good steak in Uganda..... It is always overcooked tough meat covered with sauce ( to hide the misery i guess). Even if i get a steak cooked to the right level i have never had steak in Uganda that i would ever write home about. I just wonder why? Is there despite the amount of fresian cows, which we have back home in Sweden, simply no one that can get the good meat and hang it the right way? To get that very good steak that holds its own. What do you consider to be the best steakhouse with the best filets in uganda. Did i miss a restaurant? That consistently can serve a good steak?
