Where to relax/after 3 weeks tour India and be for Dec 31st

Bonjour

started another post, after completing my 3 weeks tour in Inda in Dec/09, not sure if I stay in Inda for new years eve or go to Kho Phangan in Thailand.

If decide to stay in India, wich area could stay like for 5-6 days and celebrate new years eve ? seems Goa look's nice.

Merci

Bonjour Merci

Relaxin in goa during new year time would be difficult..because Goa remain highly packed during christmas and new year time ..most of the hotels in Goa get full booking in advance during September ..for christmas and new year time..but if u want to stay in Goa go towards extreme south of Goa "Palolim beach " it`s very nice and remain less crowded

I'm afraid Palolem is no longer quiet at New Year, try Agonda if you want a more laid back scene, or Patnem close to Palolem

Palolem is new Calangute ! Here you won't get even a hut in December, but you can stay in nearby village Betul which has an estuary.

North Goa is popular and consequently it has huge inventory of rooms. I personally like Vagator beach. You may think of staying here. North Goa is famous for beach parties also. In contrast Palolem is more subdued......

I guess by being in India already, I could continue my journey to Mumbai and then Goa.

Well I gues I need a zone where their is nightlife activities and close by restaurants, etc etc.

Any resort or hotel sugges is very welcome.

Merci

Are you talking about Mumbai ?

If yes, you may stay at Ascot in Colaba. Colaba/Fort area has some hot n happening night clubs/pubs/bars and good eateries too !

Arriving in Palolem/Patnem/Colomb/Agonda a few days before New Year makes it possible to get a room, if you're not too choosy.

You could try booking ahead but it will cost you a lot of money think 30-40 GBP a night.

Goa becomes extremely expensive during this period. The flights may also be expensive. Do a cost analysis of Goa versus Thailand from Delhi. You may be surprised!!
