Western-Style Women's clothing in several cities

I need shopping suggestions for western-style women's clothing in the following cities: Pushkar, Jodhpur, Varanasi, and Kolkata. We will be looking for blouses and skirts that look Indian, but that would fit in better with our western culture. Thanks.

You may buy a saree and as its a long material, you can make skirt and other things out of it. Good luck

In smaller towns, I don't recommend shopping for Western-style cuts (in Indian fabrics). You'll get some tacky nonsense and won't be happy with it.

Calcutta is the best option. Head to the Fab India in Calcutta. They have shirts, tunics, blouses, pants, all in Indian prints and the tops can easily be teamed with Western trousers. We call this "Indo-western" wear.

See this link: fabindia.com/clothes-for-women/womens-tunics…

Currently, Indian women are wearing kurtas (Indian-style long shirts) with leggings (either full length or calf-length).

Apart from Fab India, all the malls in Calcutta will also have many shops that sell Indo-Western. See this link: http://www.myntra.com/kurtis (kurtis are short tops, worn with jeans or leggings; this site is an online shop but you can get stuff like this in Globus, Pantaloon, Shoppers Stop, Westside, etc which are all big chain stores with outlets all over the country).

In Pushkar, there is a certain hippie style doing the rounds and the backpackers are buying that stuff mostly; it's all flimsy clothes and scarves with Hindu gods names and transparent long skirts :)

You should go online and check these big chains: I am listing one of them here:

http://www.shoppersstop.com/ - they sell western stuff, but also Indian stuff from mlultiple brands. There is a brand called Biba which is offered in Shoppers Stop, which has nice stuff. In Calcutta they are at Forum Mall and Salt Lake City and South City Mall.

There are plenty of good shops for skirts and blouses in Vishwanath Gali in Varanasi . You can have a look at them if you are passing through this alleyways.

Thank you so much, everyone for all of your input. I was trying to avoid an unnecessary stop in Delhi, and it looks like we will be fine elsewhere.

Women's clothing when it comes to westernized styling keeps on changing from city-to-city. As we face some great changes in the fashion world, the cities are also going under constant trend change. Well this also one of the increase has been seen in online shopping sector, were most of the people's attention is getting diverted to. They are more comfortable to sit at home and enjoy shopping in their leisure space, one of the good website which is cratering some great trends in western clothing for women, is Stylista. Some great stuff to browse on for women clothing.
