Single entry Indian visa

I have a single entry visa and my friend has a multi entry visa into India. We have a 9week Travel plan to see Sri Lanka, Nepal and India.

We were wanting to do northern India then Nepal and then back to India to work our way south..

I can not get a straight response on the question as to whether this is possible as I only have a single entry visa?

Though I have heard it is possible to enter Nepal the neighboring country?

Thanks in advance

If you have a single entry visa it means just that. You need a double entry at least or multiple.
