Confused about the Thai Visa Exemption & re-entry

Hi,

I'm planning a 2-month trip to SEA, flying into and back from Bangkok. I will be visiting Laos and/or Vietnam (probably by land and don't have tickets to prove it yet) half way through my stay. Will I be allowed into Thailand without an outbound flight within 30 days?

I'm not planning on exceeding the 30 day limit in one single entry and it's now too late to apply for a multiple entry visa. Any suggestions on what to do?

Cheers,

Zi

What country passport will you be using?

Different countries different visa rules.

I have a Slovenian passport. Same rules as most western countries (55 of them I believe) with the 30day exemption rule.

Although you probably wont have a problem, I'd maybe suggest just buying a throw away ticket (whichever is cheapest) to show at the airport at check in.

If you qualify for the free 30 day visa exemption stamp you get at the airport this requires a flight out of Thailand within 30 days. Instead of going overland to Laos or Vietnam fly there on a discount airline.

Your problem might first be at you home country departure airport. They might enforce the Proof of Onward Travel requirement.

Flying back to Thailand with a verifiable flight home within 30 days should qualify you for another free 30 day visa exemption stamp at the airport..

This should work.
