coins and notes

How does the money work?

What is the value of the coins?

eg.in the UK 2p 5p 10p 20p 50p and £1...all coins.

Is the 50 baht needed for the tolls a coin or a note?

Thank you

MARGARET

The bills are 20, 50, 500 and 1000 Bahts. I have found having some 20s at all times is a good thing. It allows for leaving a small tip here and there, taxi fares etc. 50s are about as good, but you do not see them as often. If you are start your day with nothing but 1000s or 500s, it is a good idea to get change at your hotel. There are certain instances where a 1000 note will be too much, the taxi ir food stall will not have change, or you may not want to be flashing 1000 Baht notes around.

Coins are 1 5 and 10.
