beautiful beaches

Our first time travelling in Thailand flight booked, arriving 24th Feb but nothing else booked only got two weeks and would very very much like advice about best less developed beach areas. W.e are in our 40's so enjoy chilled out , relaxing and beautiful white sand.Thank you.

A beautiful area with plenty of islands with few tourists is Ranong province.

Keep it a secret! lol

Take a look at this link. see if you like Koh Phayam, Koh Kam and Koh Chang

http://www.redhothotel.com/

And maybe Koh Phra Thong (Golden Bhuddha island)in Phang Nga

Perhaps, first timers would prefer Phuket, Samui. Just find a quieter beach then

For a good selection of less developed beaches and a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, you could look at Khao Lak.

But I would say that wouldn't I!

I agree with others, another idea is to beach hop south from Bangkok if you want some quieter beaches, try Dolphin Bay south of Hua Hin, long stretch of beach, relaxed and easy but comfortable a/con resorts and accommodastion. Baan Krut and Bang Saphan with some tropical style resorts are nice and Koh Talu island is a short boat ride. Koh talu is very laid back. You can bus, train or get a car with a driver between places.

You can continue down to Chumphon and then perhaps if you wanted to do some snorking take the boat to Koh Tao. From there you can boat to Koh Phangan and/or Koh Samui for a few days for something more lively and then fly straight back to Bangkok.
