Our Decision - Re Unrest

We have been to Thailand a few times a year for the past 7 years.

We have experienced several coupes.

This time we have decided to avoid BKK. Despite loosing money we have booked flights to and from HKT.

We are sorry we cannot show our friend the capitol; but when travelling with other peoples children we we ere on the side of safety.

I love Thailand and am very sorry for the people who will loose income due to the recent troubles but the civil unrest was bad.

"very sorry for the people who will loose income due to the recent troubles but the civil unrest was bad." Maybe TA will recompense the Thai people for lost income.

Very unfortunate that you decided to cancel your trip; the Bangkok protests ended quite a while ago now. No curfew, no protesters, no army presence around (or just the same as it's always been).

Thailand looks forward to seeing you next trip!

"or just the same as it's always been" - except for a few burned out buiildings and other remaining evidence of the RECENT ("quite a while ago" indeed! ) disturbances. You can always rely on Max to don his rose tinted specs!

Better that people still visit Thailand at all even if that means giving Bangkok a miss until the "pathway to peace" becomes clearer.
