help booking overnight train (bangkok to Chiang Mai)

Just looking online and the website to book overnight train tickets from bangkok to chiang mai is temporary unavailable. Do anyone know of another to get these tickets.

We would like to take the overnight train on Dec 19th and are arriving to thailand on the 17th so we don't want to leave it that short.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers

i have done it twice and never booked, just turn up too the 10pm 2nd class and well impressed...though would only do it one way....we flew back.

p.s avoid getting seat/bed by the toilets or end of carriages as difficult to sleep...well for me anyway....we fly also 17th....happy hols : )

They roll the beds out too early,7:30 or so,nothing to do,you can't sit in dining car having a beer, they kick, you out. They gave us two uppers,so you sit, looking at each other fron opposite sides,Not Fun. I could have killed that ticket agent,at the station.
