Looking at going to Thailand in November 2012.

Hi

We are looking at going away for my 50th birthday next year & Thailand is on our list.

Could anyone advise which area to stay & also what the weather temperatures are at that time of year.

Thanks in advance

Julie

Thailand has 77 provinces, so you need to have a basic idea of what you are interested in and what kind of areas you'd like to visit. November is the start of the dry season in many areas, but the Andaman cost doesn't really dry out until the end of November. A good introduction to Thailand (depending on how much time you have) is Bangkok, Chiangmai, and a beach, of which there are hundreds to choose from.

Thanks for your reply.

We will be going for 2 weeks & our preferences would be to have somewhere near to a beach with nice pools but not too commercialised.

It would be nice if we were near to somewhere to be able to go out in the evenings to sample the Thai experience but not in a very very busy resort or a clubbers paradise.

You can think about Hua Hin, Pranburi, Koh Chang, Koh Samed, Rayong, all on the gulf coast, or risking a little rain at Koh Lanta, Khao Lak, Krabi on the Andaman coast.
