travel plans disrupted

Sadly, due to recent hip surgery, we are not able to travel to a long haul destination before next april- up to now we have been in thailand during january and february. Due to other commitments, our choices are to travel to thailand next april, or wait until january 2014.

Our preferred places are chiang mai and environs, and khao lak, although we are always willing to consider alternative destinations.

What would you do in this situation?

April can be very good if you can take the heat - It'll be around 36-38C. And you can enjoy Thai New Year during 13-15 April (Songkran).

Yes. If you could come in April this fine to visit Chiang Mai even anywhere else in Thailand. Songkran in Chiang mai it's fun and good time to visit nice temples there. :) In April still nice to travel around south of Thailand.

Definitely April, you don't want to wait that long for a holiday in thailand. Bangkok, chiang Mai and Samui are a good combination.
