Budget Expenses

Hi All,

I am going to thailand-phuket,pattaya and bangkok for a 7 days/6 nights honeymoon trip. My trip covers return airfare and breakfasts on all days. Also I have Phuket Fantasea show, Phuket Island tour, Pattaya island tour and many other tours. So almost on all days i have two meals covered. I have set aside 80,000 INR or 1333 USD $ or 41,000 Thai Baht for my expenses there. I would like to know whether this would suffice for my trip?

Hi Sairam,

You meant 40,000 for 2 persons including every single things that you just mentioned?

40,000 for 6 nights is not enough unless you live in a very small hotel or budget hotel.

Here's the average cost for each things;

Meals for 2 persons per day (street food) : 200-300 Per day

Meals for 2 persons per day (Restaurant/Fastfood) : 300-500 Per day

7 Days x average = 2,450 THB.

Hotels in Bangkok in City Area : THB. 1200-3500 Per Room/Night

Hotels in Pattaya in Central or North : THB. 1000-1800 (Not on the beach) // THB. 2000-5000 (4-5* on the beach)

Hotels in Phuket in Patong : THB. 1000-1500 Per R/N (Budget Hotel) // THB. 2000-4000 (3-4* Hotel).

Transportation;

Bangkok : Bus 11-25 THB. Per Person/Time // Taxi : Starts at THB. 35 Per time (3 persons, up to the distance) // BTS : THB. 20-45 Per Person/Time (up to the distance) // MRT : THB. 16-25 Per Person/Time (Up to the distance).

Pattaya : Bus to Pattaya from Bangkok : THB. 150 Per Person/Way // Shuttle Service : THB. 10-15 Per Person/Time (City Center area) // Motorcycle Renting : THB. 300-350 Per Day (Excl. Gas).

Phuket : Shuttle from Airport to City Center : More than THB. 200 Per time per person.

Excursion Tours;

Pattaya Island Tour : 800-1500 Per Person/Trip

Phuket Island Tour : 1500-2200 Per Person/Trip

Phuket Fantasea : THB. 1500 Per Person/Time

Hope this could give you some ideas.

But you will come here for Honeymoon so I think just for accommodation will cost you around THB. 15,000 already. (3-4* hotel).

Regards

40,000THB for 2 to Bangkok, Phuket and Pattaya for Honeymoon, right?

Stay 4 night in Bangkok and find some time to go to Pattaya then Fly to Phuket spend another night and have a "Romantic Dinner" and come back to BKK... What can you expect from 40,000THB for honeymoon trip in Bangkok, Phuket and Pattaya???

haha ok so my bad too.

Ok let say you have everything spent, so sure THB. 40,000 is enough!

Here's the tip for shopping;

- dont buy things at Siam Center but buy in MBK

- visit Jatuchak for cheap and nice souvenirs

- Visit some night markets if you have times.

- Khaosarn is for exploring and enjoy some Thai meal.

- Try Thai Massage at your Hotel.

- Dont forget to but a Flat screen TV (i dont know why many Indian love to buy the TV in Thailand)

- Try some find dining at Banyan Tree Hotel or Le Bua State Tower Hotel.

Cheers.

Hi Sairam

As you are going on your honeymoon don't you think you will be running from one place to another, from one show to another, from one tour to another in those 6 Nights. It was not my cup of tea to cover so much things in 6 Nights and that too on Honeymoon.

Anyways if you and your partner are fine with then no issues. As you said that you have paid for all the above expenses so apart from this 40 K will be more than enough for you. You can buy some lovely gifts for your wife also and try out local cuisines at different places.

Cheers and have a great time on your honeymoon.

Sorry for my big misunderstood, I really do apologize for that.

Anyway, in Bangkok, I do suggest you to visit Nitas Rattanakosin www.nitasrattanakosin.com/home.php?lang=en , it's an exhibition hall telling the story about history of Bangkok, worth to visit.

If you have not yet paid, I would suggest you to Do-it-yourself.

As this is your Honeymoon, I would suggest you not to tire yourself much and I suggest you the following places.

Attractions @ PHUKET.

Phuket FantaSea

Phang Nga Tour (James Bond Island Tour)

Simon Cabaret

Flying Hanuman or Rollerball Zorbing Phuket (if like adventure)

Hire a scooter for travelling in Phuket, as cabs are pretty expensive. Also you save the precious time.

Attractions @ BANGKOK

Safari World

Paragon Cineplex- 4 D Movie at Siam Paragon.

The Grand Palace

Siam Ocean World

Snake Farm (Queen Saovabha Memorial Institute) (if interested)

Nightlife at Soi Cowboy

I would suggest you to stay near to Pratunam area. Lot of Indian eatories.

Shopping in Bangkok

Shopping @ Pratunam

Platinum Shopping Mall, Pratunam

Palladium World Shopping Mall, Pratunam

Pratunam Center Street Shopping

Pantip Plaza IT Mall, Pratunam

Shibuya 19

CentralWorld Plaza, Pratunam

Shopping near to Pratunam

MBK Center (Ma Boon Khrong Center)

Terminal 21 @ Asok BTS station

Siam Paragon Shopping Center

Siam Center and Siam Discovery Center

Shopping little far from Pratunam

Asiatique @ the Riverfront

Chinatown Markets. Near to Grand Palace.

Mega Bangna + IKEA

Chatuchak Weekend Market (only Sat, Sun)

You can travel by BTS, within the city. Once you see Fantesea, then no need to see Siam Niramit.

You entire tour of 6 days / 7 nights , in far more superior hotels will cost you less than INR 65000 (for both of you). Excluding airfare and Visa.

There are special offers going for very good NEW hotels.
