Hubby and I ,in our 50's are off for another 14 week adventure. We have been on extended hols for the last 4 years to S.E Asia, and have been to Koh Samui,Phangan,Tao etc plus Cambodia,Laos,Borneo,Vietnam,Bali.and loved it.We travel budget style, love beach bars, snorkelling, markets, culture, cocktails, beers, kayaking, exploring and local food.We try to get local transport between places and usually stay in bungalows, about $20 a night but know we will pay more.
OK so we are going earlier next year so we can explore the Andaman Coast...in April, and have 21 days in this area.We don't mind moving around a bit,as long as we are heading in the right direction (prefer to move than do a day trip and return to same place.)
We are probably WAY off,so please comment and make suggestions of alternatives..
We fly into Krabi, stay 1 night and head to Koh Lanta by ferry for 3 nights (Isara Lanta).
Ferry to Koh Jum for 4 nights.
off to Ao Nang for 5 nights, maybe staying Railay Beach ...but need help here for what area to stay.
Ferry to Koh Yao Yai for 3 nights
Phuket for 4 nights, once again very confused here, thinking of Kata Beach to stay.
Then off to Koh Chang and another 12 weeks of holiday.....
If you could design your perfect 3 week adventure in this area what would it be,what gems are we missing and what needs cutting...AND if there was one place to blow the budget and stay luxury, where??
THANK YOU so much.
