uninhabited islands

hey guys,

i'll be going to thailand in a month or so and it's been my lifelong dream to spend a week on an uninhabited island completely alone. i've been spending hours on google earth and found several interesting places, however, it seems that the only problem is getting there. does any of you have any experiences concerning that, has anyone ever done that, any tips where to go and how to go there? any kind of help would be much appreciated.

thanks!

You need to ensure that any uninhabited island is not part of a national Park or controlled by the navy, as neither would allow overnights without a permit.

Hi,

That sounds like everyone's dream. Why not stay inland, there are plenty of opportunities to be more or less alone. Read up on Kanchanaburi province for a start.

So you will need 1 week's worth of water and food. You will also need camping gear and probably a spade to dig a hole/trench for the toilet. At the end of your stay you will also need to collect all the garbage you generated and bring it back to civilization to be disposed of properly.....
