Weather in August

Getting married in August 2014 and we were thinking of having our honeymoon in Thailand but have now been told it is the monsoon season. Checked a few holiday companies but they don't seem to do package deals in August. Booking flights and a decent hotel on our own seems to be quite expensive. Fiance had his heart set on Thailand but wondering if we should pick somewhere else. Would be grateful for any advice.

You will get good weather on the East Coast (Gulf) in August. Its the West Coast (Andaman) that is in its rainy season.

Look at Koh Samui, Koh Phangan and Koh Tao.

Hi, you can easily book everything on your own if travel agents don't do package deals in the summer, check out www.skyscanner.net for the best flight prices and www.hotelscombined.com www.sawadee.com and www.asiatravel.com to get an idea of hotel prices.
