Voting Safety

We are traveling to Chiang Mai and Krabi Feb 5 and are very concerned with the safety in those regions. Are there any feet on the ground out there that can give us a little peace of mind.

Thanks!

Voting is supposed to take place today. Chiang Mai and Krabi should be trouble free. Watch the news and the ongoing posts on this forum and avoid any protest areas if there are any in any location.

Chiang Mai has been fine up until now but nobody can tell you what will happen anywhere in the future.

I am in Ao Nang right now. All is quiet...so far! I was in Chiang Mai on January 13 when the protest was going on in Bangkok. No problems there. I am sure you will love Chiang Mai!
