Seeing two festivals and have 37 days, is this budget ok?

November 3rd to December 9th

Thailand 37 days.

Something like 3 days in BK and then off to Loy Krathong in Chiang Mai

Spend about 5 days going to Chiang Rai and Pai and seeing other temples.

Sleeper back to BK for a night and then 4 weeks around the islands of Koh Samui, Ko Tao, Koh Lanta,

and finally attend the Full Moon Party. in December

then home

Flight: $1,037 in November to BK from NYC

Spending money: $45 a day to live somewhat comfy. ($1,665 total)

total trip $3,002 dollars? (including about 200 worth of pre-travel expenses)

Im not a big drinker or partier but do want to attend the Full Moon Party.

What do you think?

Dont forget...you can only stay for 30 days without a special visa...so you better budget for a fine if you overstay....not sure how big for a 7 day overstay, but could be hefty.

Hi

Koh Samui, koh Tao and koh phangnan In November /December you will be in the middle of rainy season. And keep in mind in koh phangan most hotels are imposing minimum stay 5-7 nights during full moon party.

Your budget of $1665 is it for accommodations and spending ???

While you can find a clean guesthouse or hotel, plus have enough to eat at local restaurants for your $45 per diem, what about your transport costs (boats between then islands, trains, buses, etc) and/or sightseeing tours / activities at each of your destinations?

Also be sure to get a tourist visa before you go, as it gives you 60 days in country. Without proof that you are leaving Thailand within 30 days, the airline might not allow you to go to Thailand using on the 30 day entry permit system.
