Thailand August 2014 advice..

Hey. We are a family of 4 who is looking for a new great place in Thailand in August 2014, we have been to phuket, ko samui so will we not return there again. We want a place that has very good beaches and plenty of sun . since we have a girl of 21 and a boy of 16, so there must be something there to do.We like to swim and snorkle.and experience some evening with some shopping and restauranter. We can use planes but not too long Journey from Bangkok. We will have approximately one week in Nha Trang in Vietnam either first or last journey, and we should have at least 2 dg in bangkok.and shall be totally gone in 15 dager.Have been lookoing at Ko Samet south of Bangkok but think it's a little too quiet for us? So please come with suggestions for us :)

Hi,

You could consider the west coast of Koh Phangan:

I agree, Koh Phangan is an excellent place to look at and maybe even a two island trip including Koh Tao for some snorkelling too. In August you are limited due to monsoonal rains and seas and Koh Samet and Koh Chang are both in monsoon at that time.

Hi, because of the month you're travelling the Gulf coast would be the best option so if you rule out Samui you're left with Koh Phangan and Koh Tao, there is more to do in Phangan but snorkelling is better in Koh Tao so maybe as Cassnu said a combination of the two.

Also if it's within budget check out the Sensi Paradise resort in Koh Tao, lovely hotel in a great setting.

Another vote for a 2 island trip. Koh Phangan & Koh Tao.
