Best resort for us ?

Hi everyone ,we are planning a 10 night stay this coming December, what we need help with is ,where ?

What is very important

Stunning beach, clear warm water ,no vendors to continually say thanks but no thanks to,

No high rise concrete monstrosities ,beautiful resort grounds, minimum 4 star, better 5 ,not really bothered about eating/shopping outside resort ,we have come to relax.

We stayed at the Tubkaak in Krabi on our only previous trip to Thailand ,it was really a great resort ,with the beach ,maybe the only let down,so is there somewhere that has what we are looking for ?.We don't really mind what part / island we stay ,obviously if we can miss out on the rain as much as possible that would be good .

Any help and advice would be ,as always ,greatly appreciated

Hi

You might struggle with the beach vendors criteria, but we have always found that most will respond to the 'no thank you' works.

Have a look at Nai Yang on Phuket. It will tick most of the boxes for you.

Hi

Have a look at koh Chang in Trad province. Koh Chang should fit in with your criteria.

Khao Lak should fit your criteria. Probably the Sarojin (adults only) or Le Meridien on Pak Weeb Beach? Both are 5-star resorts on a beautiful beach.

The Pullman Phuket Arcadia in Naithon Phuket might be worthy of consideration as well, on a headland rather than directly on the beach, access to the beach by a set of steps.

Worth bearing in mind that Khao Lak does not have the clearest waters due to the amount of sand being kicked up by the surf.

Mind you none of these have the fab views that Tubkaak has. We quite like that beach - when the tides in.

Koh Chang is another option to look at

Beach vendors - these are people just trying to make a living, they are relatively poor and just trying to earn something

Hi,regarding vendors,i have absolutely no problem with them and 99% of them are nice and pleasant ,what we are trying to find is a completely quiet and relaxed resort ,which we appreciate is not that easy ,and if there are vendors ,than so be it,not against any hardworking people trying to make a living ,just as i hope nobody is adverse in us wanting as much peace and quiet as we can get .
