starting a long term backpacking trip

hello all, I am new to this forum and wanted to get input about the idea of starting a long term backpacking trip in Thailand and tips from anybody who has been or is there. my intention is to spend at least two or three years abroad and make money to survive while doing it. any advice would be greatly appreciated. any forum links to already posted topics would be welcomed also

You won't be able to work in Thailand, so forget about making money there - threat Thailand as the relaxing part of your trip away and make yourself aware of visa requirements. I suggest getting a good guide book like Lonely Planet and start reading about the countries you want to visit and see what takes your fancy. BTW you've posted the same question twice on the forum.
