Bangkok BTS

Hi, I will be arriving at Don Maung airport at 22.45 on a Suday evening and have to travel to a hotel in Silom area, Saphan Taksin station on the Silom line appears to be the closest. Given my arrival time and the need to clear immigration etc I am concerned whether or not I will be able to catch the last BTS to my destination, Saphan Taksin. My understanding is I have to catch a bus, from Don Maung to Mo Chit and then catch a BTS service departing Mo Chit, following which I then have to change at Siam ? station for the BTS Silom line. I cannot find a timetable for Sunday services,

Any assistance advise anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Adam

Chances are, you won't make the last bus or BTS.

Just take a taxi from the dispatcher. Cost about 300-400 baht.

I hope this helps.

http://www.bangkokbts.com/bts-timetable.html

I think the last train runs at the same time every day it is the frequency of trains that changes at weekends the bottom tables are the frequency of trains and I am pretty sure the last one (in red) is Sunday labelled wrongly as Saturday.

Edit the last train leaves Mo Chit at 00-11 so you will be cutting it really fine may be as well as Bill says just getting a taxi.

Hi,

Not as a duplication, but to reinforce the points made by Bill and Michael above, your chances of making it are quite slim.

The difference between the taxi and the bus/BTS fare is just A$10, to put it in perspective.

Getting your pulse rate racing, and then not making it, for that amount is just not worth the trouble.

A meter taxi ride is much quicker and brings you from door to door.

Hi Dotgaz,

Thanks for this useful information.

The fare of Bht150 looks reasonable.

Last bus should be 00.30 hours.

I might consider using it sometime later..

Hi, and thanks to everyone who posted a response to my message, really appreciate your comments.

I think it probably best I use the Limobus, from Don Maung, so special thanks to Dolgaz for mentioning it
