Bangkok with nine yr old girl advice needed

Hi there,

My friend who is coming to my wedding in Thailand will have a couple of days in Bangkok first and she will be bringing her 9 year old daughter, they are staying at Buddy Lodge on Khao san rd ,maybe not the best location for a nine year old but when we were last there, there was a couple of kids in the pool so we figured it would be ok!

What can they do whilst in Bangkok I have no idea!!!! We have a full day booked with Tong to floating markets, temples, fishermans village etc etc shall i book them a tour too or would that be too much for a youngster???

Any ideas folks, we'd be so greatful I know of lots of things to do in bangkok but have no clue where to take kids!!!!

Here's a website about what to do in Bangkok for and with kids: http://www.bangkok.com/kids/

Here's an e-book you can purchase, called Thailand4Kids: http://thailand4kids.com/

Make sure to take her to the Erawan Museum. The gigantic three-headed elephant is deeply impressive to 9-year-olds (and some 39-year-olds). http://www.erawan-museum.com/

Khao San Rd??? Out of all the hotels in BKK you pick Buddy Lodge? You can do a lot better then that IMHO as that area I just dont' think is for children. Just my POV. But for what to do, DreamWorld is the amuesment park that most kids like, at 9 year old not sure if she is into shopping or spa's but she might like the make up / spa services unless she's not into that yet. The zoo is also an option to kill some time. Crocodile farm, snake farm is an option is she's into more wild items.

When we were entertaining three young ladies... make up / dress up, zoo, crocodile farm and dream world took care of dealing with them while we had them.

Good luck and congrats on the wedding.
