Floating Markets

I'm interested in going to the Damnoen Saduak floating markets.

Are they open every morning?

How much does it cost?

Whats the best way for a couple to get there? Taxi?

How long to get there?

Read TA pages there are a lot of notices. The market

is about 80 km southwest of Bangkok in Ratchaburi province.

There are bus services to Samut Sangkhram, Damnoen Saduak, from the Southern Bus Terminal on Borommarat Chachonnani Road starting at 6 a.m. You'd better get there as early in the morning as possible to escape a crowd of visitors. You can then walk along the passageway to the market, or take a boat to the market pier.

The market is open every day from 07:00 to 11:00.

You may also arrange a tour that comprise often a visit to Rose Garden.

Have a nice stay.

Sorry to hijack this thread.

But I'm also interested in floating markets, I'd rather go on an organised tour.

I'm only in Bangkok for 2 days, next Sat & Sun.

Sat I'll make my way to weekend market,

Sunday I'd prefer organised tour to floating markets,

I'm not sure what my options are - any ideas ?

Who to book with etc.

You may find a lot of touristic agency almost everywhere, ask in 2 or 3 and choose what's better for you.
