Advice on good family hotel(2+2) in Bangkok?

Were are travelling to Bangkok this year with our 8 & 11 year old children and there are so many hotels ion so many areas I have no idea where to stay. We have never been before and would like to do a few tours like tiger temple & war cemetary etc. Can any one suggest where is a good area to stay and any family hotels??

Would really appreciate some help

Thanks

we just stayed at the new Anantara serviced Suites on the Siam border and were thrilled. The location is excellent - meters to the skytrain and 1 stop from the main interchange station of Siam. 6 stops in one direction to the River and all it has to offer. 7 stops in the other direction to Chatachuk markets. The skytrain is the easiest rail system we have ever used - very 'western' friendly but if you arent near it your stay could be very difficuly with Bangkok traffic truly appalling.

Right in 'shopping central' ( also great food halls/markets for some reprieve from the heat and stock up on supplies). We even saw Avatar at the Siam Imax one rainy afternoon.

Amazing swimming pool - waterfalls, man made caves etc. Almost no customers and best off all we paid about AUS$140 for a gorgeous 2 bedroom luxury apartment. High end appointments and we even did all our washing before we came home.

Cant recommend it enough. ( ps our kids are 8 & 12)

We stayed at Abloom serviced apartments and it was BRILLIANT! The rooms were fantastic, beds were very comfy, and it had a full kitchen, dining room and living room We stayed in the 3 bedroom apt and it had 4 bathrooms, 3 of them full baths. There was also a swimming pool there. We stayed there with 4 of our kids, ages 6, 8, 9 and 11.

Price was very reasonable as well!
