bangkok river cruise

in Bangkok for three nights with wife and 11 yr old daughter.

Want to sample a river cruise. There are plenty of evening river cruises to choose from. Looking for one with good food and music.

Viator seems to provide a well reviewed tour. Has anyone experience of this company or any other that they would be prepared to recommend

Thanks

mike

Loy Nava and Manohra are probably the more "picture postcard" dinner cruises. They feature traditional Thai entertainment, good food and hotel pick up.

Both menus are prepared before the cruise, so don't expect the food to be "the best in Bangkok", but most find it quite good.

A cheap daytime cruise can be had using the express boats. It can be part of a visit to the Grand Palace visit. Hop on an orange flag boat, possibly from beneath the Saphan Taksin BTS platform. Take the boat to Tha Chang pier, pier #9. From there, head directly inland, ignoring all the friendly help offered.

Hi

We (group of 10 - including 5yo and 1yo baby) did the Loy Nava only two weeks ago and it was the best night we've had. Lovely boat, views, staff and the food was amazing, honestly the biggest meal and nicest tasting food we had on any tour.

I suggest doing the 6pm cruise as you set off in daylight and cruise up the river by night - picture perfect.

We booked online (don't need to pay until the night) - cheapest option and also used them for pickup/rop off and all went perfectly smooth.

I would recommend it to everyone.
