expenses

Will be in BKK for 5 nights followed by CM and Phuket for 21n. Hoping that budget for expenses of 6-7,000 baht per day will cover some fine dining, shopping, river cruise & 1 cabaret show for 2 people in BKK.

The accommodation and most breakfast meals are paid in advance.

Will this provide enough funds for a good time in BKK and rest of Thailand or do I need to start counting pennies for March?

Cheers and thanks

You are RICH! You will probably have to go out of your way to find things to spend 7000 baht a day on!

You will be every vendor's dream customer - a Farang paying too much for everything! You will probably overpay for everything you get - taxis, over tipping in restaurants or bars, no real bargaining for simple purchases in the market, overpaying for just about everything you purchase.

Even with paying too much for everything I doubt that you would spend half of what you think you need.

Most budget travellers feel fortunate if they can blow an extra 1000 baht a day - that probably includes booze and some sort of adult companionship too!

Have fun!

Yes more than enough

Use the Skytrain BTS wherever possible really cheap and fast in the bangkok traffic.

If shopping on the street stall holders will more than likely take at least 50% of their first price if not even less. Get your bargin training under your belt.

If you mean a cabaret like Mambo or Calypso that is 500/600 per person.

Many cheap places to eat depending where your hotel is. 5 of us 2 nights ago eat till we bust and the bill was only 1500 Baht.

Tuk Tuks can be relitively expensive but at least once if only for the experience.

Enjoy your trip

Deelee

Many good places to eat round JWM Walk up Sukhumvit to Soi 7 (you'll have to cross the road) there is a great outdoor seafood place there and really cheap Very rarely over 600 Baht for 4 with soft drinks.

Also on Soi 5 Foodland has a buffet style food counter just in the door also cheap.

If you cross The road by the footbridge in front of JWM you'll also find several food stalls with some great Thai food.

I'm sure you will have plenty for other activities, trips etc.

Don't forget to take an elephant ride when in CM

Enjoy your trip
