I've never needed a passport when exchanging cash. Travellers cheques require a passport.

I exchange cash at the airport upon arrival. I like it because it doesn't require a passport. Why not consider cash? The exchange rate isn't any higher at the airport. There is a (24 hr;) Foreign Money Exchange counter as you pass through Immigration. (*There's a lot of Immigration booths side by side - the booth near the middle will put you right on target.)

The money is fed into a machine / counted and exchanged using a machine so it's safe & accurate. If you decide to use this ask for some small bills.

Raise a glass...

Cheers!

SuperRich need some ID, any ID would do. This is at their main location in Pratunam. Not sure about the SuperRich 1965 booths though.

Super Rich took a copy of my passport when we changed money there however this was the only money exchange place where we had to show any ID. I think this was their main office - first time I had exchanged money at Super Rich and was a good rate.

What do superrich charge on changing TC's? Do they really give a better rate than other banks?
