Cosmetic Dentistry in Thailand

Hi, I am in need of some major dental work which will include 28 crowns. Will cost me $46,000 in Australia so looking at alternatives in Thailand. Has anyone got any recent stories to tell? Any recommendations?

That sure is one hell of a sitting in the dentists chair Ann....and joking apart you therefore definitely need specialised dental treatment that's for sure. Here is one that you should seriously consider on reputation...Bangkok International Dental Center(BIDC)...email:contact@thailanddental.com

Stay clear of any of the dental clinics with 'smile' in their name here...(there are plenty)as majority use a 'musical chair pool' of what ever dentists are available on that day...You need specialised treatment on a long term scale so this is why I have recommended BIDC to you as that's what they do!

Thanks Jed much appreciated, I have had my bite re aligned and jaw widened and now the teeth need to be crowned to hold it in its new position. Already spent a small fortune. Not sure how my dentist is going to react when I tell them I want to get the work done o/seas Have you had work done personally yourself?

Dental treatment here is excellent when you find the right dentist and dental centre. For so much work, a hospital is a good idea. Apart from the Bangkok Dental Hospital, several other hospitals have excellent dental centres, including Bumrungrad and BNH. You will need to spend some time here to get all that work finished.

i have been using Bangkok smile Dental group for quite some time. Even if their name includes 'smile' ,they are still great. The doctor who saw me is specialised and was trained in America. The price is good,a lot cheaper than back home. check them out www.dentalthailand.com

I have found the Denists in Thailand very good. With the amount of work you are having done I suggest you need a recommendation from someone here in Australia , who you may speak with over the phone as well.

I have heard of a chap who required a large amount of work done and claims that he has had a number of months holiday in Thailand and paid for the work. And still has saved money.

I will be having a wisdom tooth out on my next trip.

Good Luck

Ive also had many crowns and follow up work at BIDC.. http://www.bangkokdentalcenter.com/

much cheaper then Australia. They do an examiation 1st then quote you how much it will cost.. I didnt need anyone to speak over the phone for me.

Are you getting them all done at the one time?,... I had two done in about 7 days and I thought that was tough going...

BTW your dentist here in Aussie will try and talk you out of it... Mine tried to saying the dentists are not trained properly.. These dentists are educated in America.. I go back every 6 months to 12 moths for check ups.. Still cheaper then going to a dentst here...
