I stayed at a couple recently.

1/ Grand Sukhumvit Hotel. Close to restaurants, street markets and Nana BTS. Lovely pool area. I really enjoyed it here. also

2/ The Patumwan Princess, ajoins MBK so very close to shopping BTS etc. and the pool there is HUGE, loved it here as well. Both 4/5 star hotels, very friendly and helpful. :-)

The Marriott Spa Resort is across the river - it has a free ferry shuttle which takes you close to the shops. Nice pool & hotel.

Yep! The Kempinski is one you won't regret and has all you're looking for.

Alternatively, have a look at the not too far away InterContinental Hotel which is linked via a short raised & covered (2nd floor?) walkway to the luxurious upmarket Gaysorn Plaza. Take another short walkway over Ratchaprasong Road and you're on the doorstep of Central World Shopping Centre. It might just sway you!
