Thank you OctoberSix
I will be there in the second half od February.
What can I expect?
Do they have food halls there?
How about a little profile?
That would be most helpful.
Zen is running their re-opening zen-sational promos now..
Zen is, more or less, a big, fancy Central department store. I only posted this because of the many people who seemed concerned that it had been closed.
Zen is the anchor store for Centralworld, which has more eating options than many cities!
Thank you OctoberSix and GOPBI
I shall include it in my "To see" list in my forthcoming visit.
Indeed Centralworld is part of a huge group (Central Retail) with worldwide investments, which I am told also bought a 100% stake of the 150-year-old store firm La Rinascente in Italy for 260 million euros last May. Their building in Milan is quite historical. They seemingly also have retail operation in Japan and China and Hong Kong.
Good to see that they seem to be back to full strength in Bangkok and I look forward to checking the interiors.
Have a good week.
I went and checked it out today, and I am going to tell my wife that it was horrible, truly horrible, ( that should save me a lot of cash!!!).
Seriously, they have done a very good job of getting the store up and running after having it gutted by the red shirts in 2010, and even though there are a few details they need to attend to, (which they are doing), it is still rather impressive.
Alan, the more U tell ur Wife it is Horrible, the more she want to go see for herself. A Women Curiosity Can Kill a Cat LOL..... :P
