If your budget permits, the Shangrila are offering stay 3 pay 2, deals and have excellent balconies with a view of the river.

not near mbk but right next to the skytrain which makes access to mbk quick and simple.

Navalai resort. Is actually close to Khao San Road but is right on the river with a ferry terminal at the back of the hotel. We took the trip to MBK by ferry and then connected by train and it only took about 30 minutes.

We found it to be a good spot because we weren't right in the middle of all the madness.

Silom City Hotel appears to have balconies on some of their rooms.

This is not an expensive Hotel.

The Shangri-la stay 3 pay 2 deals do not include breaky. I enquired with the hotel about this deal today and it ended up the same price as if I book with Agoda or a similar website and pay for the three nights, but also get breaky!

It may sound like a good deal but it's not in the long run.

They do however, have balcony rooms. We are still staying there in July but we will be booking via an agency.

I did check the Agoda rate, but did not realise that it included breakfast.

If this is correct, then it is the better deaL

We have still booked the stay 3 deal directly with the Hotel as it is a no deposit, booking that can be cancelled up to 24 hours before the day of arrival. This will give me the flexibilty to look for other "last minute" deals closer to our departure date.

Nai Lert Park has balconies but no furniture on any of the balconies. They do however have a lovely pool set in lovely gardens.
