Is getting the train from airport difficult

We are thinking of catching the train from the airport to our hotel the Siam hotel we know it is attached to the railway line but do we have to change trains and would it be difficult for us.. We have used the train in Bangkok before we found asking young people directions was the asiest way as they mostly spoke some English.

Hi,

No it's easy,,

.... and...

if you are staying at the Siam CITY Hotel (on Si Ayuthaya Road) the hotel in fact has a FREE shuttle that runs from the ARL's Phaya Thai station to the hotel and v.v

It appears to run daily, every hour from 11:00A to 1800P.

Outside of that, it is in fact a short walk.. but if you have bags, then even as short as it may be, a taxi might be the better way to go-- but it is very walkable from the ARL station itself.

Take the ARL (Airport Rail Link) to Phayathai station. Transfer to the adjacent BTS (skytrain) station and ride the BTS to Siam where you have to change trains to go to National Stadium station (If by Siam Hotel you mean Siam@Siam - if you mean Siam Kempinski then Siam station is where you need.) Note that the BTS has no baggage facilities and can get crowded.

The BTS has an excellent English language website with maps, fares, etc

Then the station you need is Rachathewi which has a walkway directly into the hotel.

Hi,

You have to transfer from the ARL to the BTS. They are wholly seperate systems with their own ticket and free structures..

It's easy as the stations (at Phaya Thai) are connected via an elevated walkway and there's an elevator from the ARL platform to the concourse level as well as an 'up' escalator from the BTS ticketing level, to the platform level.,

Naturally at the BTS Ratchathewi station end, it's an direct walkway..

So, all told, for you, this is a breeze.
