That is good news.
... and the initial deployment, or Initial Operating Experience (IOE) flying schedule and first long-haul use.
My husband and I are lucky enough to be able to experience their short- lived run BKK-HKG in November in F!
We can't wait!!
But it seems that the A380 is not scheduled to cover London - Bangkok initially and that's a pity.
In the video clip it looks appealing - thank you SydneyJed

I'm lucky, although the flight doesnt go to my final destination, and I try to avoid FRA as a transit point, I will give it a try just for the experience. No doubt TG will increase their already high fares.
On a pretty unrelated note, Thai Airways did start to use the newly reto-fitted Boeing 747s on the London-Bangkok route today. These have the new wider economy seat, the new first suites and AVOD in all seats.
Thanks for the update.
Hi, have worked out that Thai struggle to fill two 747 slots a day so if they used a A380 to LHR they may not need both slots and they dont want to lose a slot which is why they use A340,s when it is quiet. It is better to use full A340 aircraft than half empty B747,s. If only Thai logic would let them reduce prices i am sure many more people would use them as the service is one of the best on this route in my opinion as i have used 17 times now.
