Any Restaurant at Arrival Area

Hi - i'm arriving in Bangkok at around 1:00PM. but i need to wait for my companion who's flying in later.

Would there be any restaurant near the arrival area where i can seat and wait?

Appreciate where's the best place to wait for my companion.

You need to go downstairs MrsKanga...there is an assortment of coffee and food outlets where you can sit and chill.

Mrs Kanga from Manila

I think we are clear on the level :-)

I have met co-travellers and friends at the Airport coming from other directions/locations. By way of choice you will be spoilt.

However, if you are willing to take heed from TA posters mine is as follows:

Do not "sit and wait" BUT "sit and eat" it's far more enjoyable.

Personally and presently, I quite like S&P because it gets me in my "Thai mood" awakening my taste buds and making me temporarily forget my Lasagne, Fettucine, Fusilli, Rigatoni and Pizza and many others. I know I should not use blasphemy on a family oriented site but even if I am Italian I am willing to experiment with food from time to time and what a great way to be tempted by wonderful food such as Thai food!!

I find S&P menu simple but effective, it is clear, if you do not speak Thai there have pictures, they are moderately priced and their coffee brand (I think Blue Bird but I may be wrong) could compete for Barista awards with their more internationally known counterparts.

Happy waiting and hopefully happier eating

Giorgio Federico

There are several small restaurants on Level 3 (right between the levels for Arrivals and Departure) and there is also a food court (Magic Food Point) on Level 1.

I assume that we are all discussing the arrivals area before immigration.

I did not think that you could go up to the departure floors where all the restaurants are without being in transit.

I just recall that last time I wanted to change floor I had to show my boarding pass to the lady before I was allowed up the escalator.

Of course if we are discussing levels after immigration then of course you can change floors but these are not near the "arrivals" area and the OP may be confused by this.
