How long to get to the airport?

We are staying in the Khao San Rd area and have a flight to HCMC leaving at 3.55pm.

How long should we allow to get to the airport in the early afternoon? We will probably take a taxi.

No rail service in that area you can use.

Plan on being at the airport 2 hours before your flight that would be 1:55 pm.

Allow at least an hour for the ride. Probably not too long after your noon check out from your hotel. I would rather be more early than a little too late!

Have small bills and coins for paying the taxi driver. No 50 baht surcharge for return ride to airport. Don't get in the taxi unless the driver agrees to use the meter.

Hi BeeGee,

I would allow an hour and a bit, it should be plenty.

Cheers, Andy.

Depends on traffic but we usually allow an hour.
