Chatuchat shopping market and/or China Town shopping.

I would like to buy Men Shirts , T- Shirts, Jeans, Mobile Covers, Ladies Hair 'Clips, other ladies knick knacks, and small items. I will be buying in more than 1 pc. .

I have been to Chatuchat earlier and found it to be too huge. As I have limited time in Bangkok I think its better to concentrate on one market to buy things @ best price. Which market one feels is better priced and I should concentrate on. Quality wise both should be same (am I right?).

Never been to China Town, Sampung lane, Yaowarat and Phahurat. I read here on TA and other shopping guides that this place too has good bargains and permanent shops.

Hope someone gives a opinion so that its helpful to me and other travelers.

Thanks a lot for your replies.

Perhaps try Pratunam Markets, you should get most things you have mentioned above.

At Sampeng, Chinatown, you can find hair clips, knick knacks, and other small items by the kilo!

If you don't like Chatuchak try Terminal 21. It's indoor mall with hundred of small shops. And food court there is incredibly cheap.

Certainly for the clothing and maybe ladies nik naks I would suggest Pratunam as best location.

Sampeng near China Town is what you need. They sell things in large quantities for discounts

For better quality clothes, handbags, shoes etc go to Pratunam on Petburi road.

If we buy one or two items only, will the shops at Sampeng entertain us?I understand they cater mostly to retailers who buy in bulk.

Many of the shops will sell single items.; a few don't. It often depends on the cost or size of the single item. In many cases, big discounts are facilitated by big purchases.

Sampeng Lane is just what Oktobersix says, for other items you are looking for not much worth going.

Sampeng isn't clothing. Sampeng is just about everything else.
