Best View spots in bangkok?

Hey guys

I am wanting to visit some nice locations with the best views of the city.

A place with a restaurant would be a bonus.

I was thinking about visiting Lebua/Sky Bar but they require dress code and I don't have long pants haha

Is there any other spots anyone can recommend? Otherwise I might just have to go and buy some long pants

Thanks

one of the nicest locations is on the river, by ferry. so I imagine a floating restaurant could be a good option if eating/drinking is part of the plan

Nice view from Baiyoke Tower view deck. I haven't used the restaurant so can't comment on that.

Baiyoke is about the best place for shorts. Most other venues expect people to dress like they are having an evening out.

Well I bought some dress pants.

Then rang up sirrocco at lebua, and they are fully booked until 7th of January.

Any recommendations for proper dining places with high rise view?

Just go to the Golden Mountain Temple in Bangkok. Wonderful 360° view over the city and no entrance fee at all. It's a temple, so no possibility to find a restaurant up there.

Hi Jim, We were very lucky and spoiled and were taken to a restaurant called Scarlett on the 37th floor of the Pullman Hotel in the Silom area. They have a terrace with a brilliant view, where you can sit and drink and/or eat. it is a bit expensive and a bit posh, but may be worth a try. They are a wine bar as well, so you can probably go there without ordering a full meal. The food is good, though not Thai, more along the lines of French/Italian and pretty rich after having eaten all Thai food throughout our trip.
