Hi all,
I'm traveling with my girl first time to Bangkok from 5mar to 9 mar and will be staying at Grand Diamond hotel.
I have few question that need advice .
1)Beside taking cab , is there other transport I can use from airport to hotel?
2) is Grand Diamond close to any subway or train station?
3) Is chatucha market from march for renovation ?

In response to questions 1 and 2 it is possible to get to the hotel by a combination of Airport Rail Link (ARL) and Skytrain (BTS). Sala Daeng is the closest station. Otherwise, take the ARL and Underground/Subway (MRT) to Silom station:

You will have to walk a few minutes whichever option you choose.

How mch luggage do you have? If it's light backpacks you can take the ARL to Rajprarop and walk it. Approx 15min walk.
You can take the taxi from Rajprarop as well. But if you are going to take the train taxi combo, get off at Makkasan and take the taxi from there. It will just be a straight shot up Petchaburi to get to the Grand Diamond.
Or you can just take a taxi from the airport.
Wife and I stayed at Grand Diamond in oct. Found it much easier to get a taxi, go to taxi stand on ground floor they will give you a chit. Cost us 400 bahts.
Great hotel, loverly breakfast. Great for shopping. We stayed 8 nights.

The Grand Diamond Htl I 'm staying is located at Petchburi Rd.
We try packing light with 2 luggage.
