Bangkok to Angkor Wat

We (mature couple) have 3 to 4 days spare in Bangkok from Dec 11th. Can anyone recommend a short round trip to Angkor Wat? We assume flying there and back with a couple of days sightseeing. Is it best to go on an organised tour?

Hi,

Bangkok airways and Cambodia Angkor Air fly this route. BA have more departures than CAA.

It's very easy to arrange tours to the temples when you arrive in siem reap. You hotel will have a list of drivers, either tuk tuk or car and can also arrange guides if nec.

Costs are around $15 for a tuk tuk, $25 for a car and guide $25 per day for the temples close to siem reap.

www.canbypublications.com has maps, itineraries and much more detail to help you plan.

Other costs are $20 for a VOA and the temple pass is $20 a day or $40 for 3. Plenty of hotels and GH at all price points.

Cheers
