Which night market is recommend?

Hi, it will be the 1st time for me and my friend to Bangkok soon.

We would like to know which night marker e.g. Asiatique is recommend? Is the price in asiatique reasonable? We will be stay in Sukhumvit Road.

I have read that there's no more free shuttle boat after 11pm from asiatique, any taxi able to back to Sukhumvit Road after that hour?

Thanks in advanced for help!

Hi,

Asiatique opens only in the evening hours & shopping there is not exactly cheap either. Restaurants are plenty there but none I found to be really good.

Sukhumvit is quite far from Asiatique. When you're there, try to use the free shuttle back to Saphan Taksin BTS early. Do not try to hail a taxi there. They often refuse to use the meter, & they might ask for Bht 500 or more to get you back to Sukhumvit.

Stay disciplined & smart.

Hi,

You have several to choose from:

To get to Asiatique fom Sukhumvit you could take the Skytrain to Saphan Taksin (where the shuttle boats depart from) via Siam. You can find taxis 24/7 in Bangkok.

Also depending on how many people it may be cheaper to grab a taxi from Saphan Taksin to Sukhumvit. Simply walk to the main road, cross to the otherside and take a taxi. Only cost us B90 from there to Phrom Pong.

Patpong nightmarket is pretty good in my eyes. Bought a really nice leather wallet there for 100baht.

Yes, Pat Pong market is an interesting area to visit. Very colourful and great for people watching but I really don't think the prices are anything special. I think you were just lucky, Martin.

If you do a bit of easy research you'll find that much of the merchandise in Pat Pong is the same or similar to what you can see at MBK, for example at much cheaper prices.
