Carpet shopping

Hello!

Can you suggest me where to buy a big carpet that they can send you home (Europe)? Is there customs (duty) when I take the package home? How are the prices? Cheaper than Europe?

What about tailoring? I want to make sheets done.

Thank you!

It will depend on Duty rules for your own country as to how much duty and VAT you will be charged. Thailande is not really renowned for its carpets. As for tailors they are mainly make clothing rather than household items like sheets. You will probaly be better off buying them ready made in the shopping malls. If you want high quality, like Egyptian cotton I wouldn't expect them (or carpets) to be any cheaper than in Italy.

Isnt the duty free limit 150 €? Perhaps in Italy you can negotiate.

Why buy a carpet in Thailand?
