This is something you might want to check out! Bangkok has 2 airports. Flights to Phuket depart from both airports! Both airports are on opposite sides of Bangkok.

You will probably land at Suvarnabhumi which is BKK. What airline takes you to Phuket? How long between flights? Which airport do you leave from for Phuket? Will your bags be checked all the way through to Phuket?

OK, the ongoing flight is probably a code-share with Bangkok Airways. Your luggage will be checked through to Phuket. You will follow the signs for transit, get a boarding pass if you don't already have one, and clear Immigration in a special transit lane. Then you'll come out in the domestic departure area and go to your gate. You'll pick up your baggage and clear customs in Phuket.
