Super Rich Currency Exchange

Hi Guys

Would be grateful if someone could tell me the closest Super Rich to Eastin Grand Sathorn and how best to get there by BTS?

Thanks

Unless you have an extremely large pile of cash to exchange, or happen be near one, hunting down Superrich isn't worth the trouble.

Below is a link to the BTS trip to the Saladaeng branch. Its rates aren't as good as Radjadamri's.

The closest Super Rich branch is at Sala Daeng BTS station, but their rates are much worse than at the main branch at Ratchadamri. I once went there and was very disappointed to see that the rate was worse than at the Krung Thai Bank booth next to it. However, the main branch really offers the advertised best rates.

Eastin is very close to Surasak BTS station, so you take from there the train going to National Stadium. You change at Siam to the train going to Bearing and get off at Chit Lom (next stop). Take Exit 1 and walk back towards Siam and Central World mall. Turn right at the Ratchadamri intersection (at the Gaysorn Plaza). Walk north with Central World on your left. The alley with the Super Rich offices will be on the right (2nd after Big C Supercenter). You have walked too far if you reach the bridge over Saen Saeb canal. Walking distance is about 800 metres.

If you are exchanging British pounds to Thai baht, you won't even recoup the price of your BTS tickets unless you exchange more then 100 pounds at once.

The Eastin is actually connected to the Surasak BTS platform.

And remember, we're talking "CURRENCY"exchange, as in cash. They don't do travelers checks or ATM cards.

Thanks all. Does anyone know of any currency exchanges open until late?

Superrich is a 09:00 to 18:00 operation.

Other exchanges, in shopping malls, can have later hours.

Some superrich xchange stations do not open before 11 am. E.g. Chidlom BTS, basement Central Chidlom, also the one on Silom Rd. next to Thai Airways, Emporium BTS.

UOB often has as good or better rate. Depends on the currency of course. UOB suits my needs.

Spent the last 3 winters in Bangkok and very sure a big brand new Super Rich opened 2 years ago on Silom Rd just near the junction with Rama iv rd. This is a short walk from Chong Nonsi BTS and only one BTS stop from your hotel. This branch offers the same rate as the big Super Rich Ratchadamri.

It would probably be a shorter walk from Saladaeng BTS.
