Best area to stay in Bangkok

Hi! We are a group of four female friends travelling to Bangkok end January, early Feb on our way to cambodia next year. We are interested in some sightseeing, some shopping, some good food and fun - what will be the ideal area to stay in Bangkok?

best wishes

I think Sukhumvit ticks all your boxes. check out www.asiatravel.com www.sawadee.com and www.hotelscombined.com to get a idea of what's available for your budget.

Hi Sohini,

I would suggest:

(1) Siam area - Novotel @Siam Square, Renaissance Bangkok Hotel or Centara Grande.

or (2) Sukhumvit - Adelphi Suites, Rembrandt Hotel or Grand Centre Point Hotel Terminal 21.

For all your planned activities, always stay close to the BTS.

For shopping you should stay at Pratunam area.

The main thing is to pick a hotel close to a BTS skytrain station.

There is no one area which is close to sightseeing, shopping and night life.

I think Sukhumvit might suit you best on a 1st visit.

"Best Area" is subjective, personally I prefer Riverside area, but agree with the above, Sukhumvit is suitable for you!

Enjoy
