Riverside is by the Chao Phraya River. http://www.bangkok.com/riverside/

Great location for visiting Grand Palace, Wat Pho and Wat Arun by Chao Phraya River ferries.

I never stayed riverside myself but recently I stayed soi 2 sukhumvit rd, lohas suites, nice hotel. A bit far down soi 2 but they have a free tuk tuk derived that brings you down to sukhumvit rd and your then a 2 minute walk from phloen chit bts station or about 10 mins from nana station. Plenty of nice restaraunts around and great nightlife. Depending on what your after soi 4(nana) is full of girly bars, gogo bars and nana hotel has a disco. I also hear soi 11 has a few discos that are not girly bar types. But this whole area in General has plenty of bars of all descriptions and discos etc.

Thank you all for your help.

We've decided to go w/ Solo Hotel @ Soi 2. price is good.

How much is taxi from Sukhumvit airport to Solo Hotel?

Do I need to get taxi coupon?

There are no taxi coupon in BKK. You pay taxi acc to meter. From the airport you pay 50 Bht airport surcharge plus toll fee for which you get receipt. Driver will ask you for.the toll money. Price should be approx. 350 Bht on the meter. However, it may be a bit more depending on traffic.
