travel to airport

Hi, I am travelling from Phrom Phong BTS to Suvarnabumi airport for a flight around midnight.

As the traffic will be bad on the last Friday of the month, I thought going by train would be less worry re traffic times. Where do I change to get on the airport train? How long will the whole journey take?

Looking forward to your assistance,

Li

Hi Guiness,

You can take to BTS from Phrom Phong station to Phaya Thai station to connect with the ARL to the Suvarnabhumi Airport. The whole journey could take 40-50 minutes.

For a much shorter journey (but more changes) I would take the BTS to Asoke (one station), change to the MRT (down three escalators) and then take the MRT one station to Petchaburi and the covered walkway to Makkasan ARL station, and then the ARL City Line to the airport.

This is not difficult to do as long as you're traveling reasonably light (let's say a rolling suitcase and a carry-on.) Probably cut 15 minutes off your travel time.
