Where to stay at Bangkok for safety and to avoid protest

Hi, I'm staying Bangkok for two plus one night few days later. I was thinking to stay first two nights somewhere around temples, Khaosan area as I would like to visit those temples and places around. On return I would stay one more night I was thinking like Siam where are those big shopping centers so I can spend some time there. Could you advise me if those places are ok or I should avoid some of them. Thank you.

You really should keep up with the news.

The Military imposed martial law tafter which they did coup. Now there are no protestors, there is a curfew and any anti coup protesters will be detained and subjected to military courts.
